PROJECT INFORMATION

Richco has been awarded the Storm Sewer Replacement contract at 248 Street and 50 Avenue for the Township of Langley (Reference No. FT 26-131). The project replaces and upgrades the existing storm drainage system with new PVC mains up to 600mm diameter, manholes, and outlet works, followed by full road restoration and site landscaping. Substantial performance is scheduled within 45 working days, with any necessary in-stream works timed to the August 1 to September 15 fisheries window.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Approximately 330 metres of new storm drainage pipe: 375mm, 450mm, and 600mm diameter DR35 PVC
  • 1200mm and 1500mm diameter manholes, lawn drains, and service connections, plus tie-ins into existing and proposed sewer manholes
  • Riprap placement, headwall installation with energy dissipators, and geosynthetics for outlet protection
  • Road reconstruction: cold milling, granular base, hot-mix asphalt paving and overlay, and thermoplastic pavement markings
  • Site restoration: swale construction, growing medium, hydraulic seeding, and existing tree preservation
